Outbound Weddings: Mymensingh Chronicles

When I first heard about the Mymensingh shoot the thought was it’d be just another day at the office. The perception changed in seconds after reaching Mymensingh when we met “ Ajwad & Jeba “ the couple dearest. Their will to participate in any extent for a better photograph made us go crazy on par with them. It was a 3-day assignment every day on a different location. Not like Dhaka weddings, the lush green, mustard field, impeccable beauty of Shashi Lodge and infinite frames of Bangladesh Agricultural University we were in awe of the experience of the shoot. We became a family to them. An amazing understanding & communication with the clients is the key to the out of the box photography. — TMz Ahmed.

The first day, amidst regular shoots in Dhaka, we all started the journey for Mymensingh with high hopes n full of energy. Shoshi lodge was the place of the photoshoot and we made use of the golden hour at full to get the desired frames. Not to mention the cooperation from Ajwad & Jeba made the experience so pleasant by mixing it with the beauty of Shoshi Lodge the shots came to life. It was my first time in the city beside the mighty river Brahmaputra, I’ve never heard of this beautiful historical place before. The lovely attire of Jeba Apu & handsome Ajwad vai truly complimented the historical ambience.

The next day was full of surprises. I understood the dedication level Ajwad vai & Jeba apu putting to help us capture the precious days of their life is splendid. It was the wedding day full of tension and time management was the key. This time we took the over the beautiful campus of BAU. Resulting in a thorough recce the day before, we positioned ourselves in an empty road. Trees were covering the road like archways which felt like the kings' road of the Game of Thrones [P.S Fanboy Moment]. Managing crowd and blocking a road for the photoshoot was challenging on a weekend day even. When we came back to the open ground where a lovely stage was welcoming the couple with their family members, I didn’t miss the chance again to capture them under the open sky. Green and blue blended through the beauty of mother nature, such ambience usually not something we see every day in the capital.

The final day arrived where we were on course of taking the couple to the mustard fields and take a few shot. Not to mention the beautiful dresses from Khan Brothers [https://www.facebook.com/KB1952/} and Sartorial [https://www.facebook.com/sartorialconundrum/] both Ajwad and Jeba looked absolutely gorgeous and ready to reach anywhere for that marquee shot. Sony 12–24mm F/4 G lens showed it’s absolute potential in the field with the wide lovely shots really enhanced the mood. As I’ve not shot before in such conditions, it was a dream come true photography project for me. Followed by the event coverage we’re back to our home in the middle hour of the night!

Want to add a few words for the clients. It’s important to build the connection and rapport between the documenting agency and the client. The effort we put on a shoot is important as well as same as the cooperation to us from the client. Combined altogether this three days of photo fest was something that will be one of the best experience of 2020 I must say.
