Faiza & Nabil :: Narrative Noir

Wedding without colors are kept in a special place in my heart. It’s the gradient in between black and white which keeps the emotion moving. Place it into any situation, the BnW Photographs always shine, the story remains a crucial part of the photographs. In the wedding event of Faiza & nabil, I got the chance to experiment with some amazing shades where I took a few photographs keeping in mind the later on processing.

In many cases we have to opt for fewer hours in wedding events to cover as there are many constraints. The best result comes when we get the chance to spend more time with the families, to depict their stories in a form we want to tell it. To stitch the narrative we have to take every chance. To have that perfect shot we need to click, changing angles and perspectives.

A pre set storytelling is something, which I’ve had prepared myself while covering Faiza & Nabil’s events. Prior knowing the bride for a long time, I was well aware of her priorities, I knew that I had to follow the bride, the key persons were already in my radar as two days back I covered their holud event. From the makeover session to the entry and later on while the Nikkah was done, I had majority of the shots.

Portraits are an integral part of my shooting style. I’m indulged into perfecting portraits. Got the chance to design the portrait session of the couple in two different locations, considering the #Newnormal I had the variations to come up with. Kudos to the energetic souls, who were not at all tired in my never ending instructions.

BnW photographs narrate the whole scenario in a different manner. It has the power to re-think, re-imagine and re-construct our way of thoughts. Considering the photojournalism style of wedding photography, it has the power to shine up those moments where in the era of social media, the viewer will stop scrolling, look at the photograph, emotions overwhelming and keeping that image somewhere in their mind for future reference.
